A Wings Fly By is called for on this special day.

The Spirit of the D is must and see, yes?

These cats are behind enemies lines - but as it turns out, they got the last laugh.

Laura's dance recital is today so I could not stay long.
I’ve taken this Commuter Challenge thing to a whole new level. I like to come up with new ways to get to work by selecting different routes and modes of transportation. Since I have been doing this for over a year now, people are always asking me how I got to work today? So in this blog, I share my experiences in my travels. I hope you find this inspirational and that you too might find alternative routes and break from those usual patterns. Go ahead, try something new today!

This is where I saw Eminem shooting his video. The inside of this theater is still in good shape. The stage is there along with what once was a beautiful ornate balcony on both sides of the stage.

On the second one there was a bunch of garbage and mud on the sidewalk. My tires slid right out from underneath me. The funny thing was my feet were still clipped into the pedals and I fell sideways along with the bike. Ouch!
Well how can I possibly take the car on a morning like this? A crisp 50 degrees, 6:00am and the birds are singing. Time to mount the bike and head on in.
Look at this – no one on the road today – all to myself
I am trying a new bike today. Well not exactly new like out of a store but one that buddy gave me to use in the Motor City Tri on Jun 14. I flew on this bike. Record time from my house to work 65 minutes.
Since I made record time, I decided to try the new Dequinder Cut downtown.
I woke up at 5:30 willing to get on the bicycle but the chill in the air and the damp roads suggested otherwise. So I shut off the alarm and rolled over for another hour of quality sleep time.
I did take the bicycle up to the Schoenherr bus stop and took the SMART bus in today. I figure I can work later in the day and take the Van Dyke bus home. From there I can ride the bicycle from the Van Dyke stop to the house.
See you on the road..
